Just had my very first huxtaburger.

And apart from the staff who were sadly there against their will, my experience was pretty good.

There was one moment of confusion though when my burger was brought to me and the girl said “Denise?” and I said “No, Sophie” and she said “yeah, Denise” and I said “No, I’m not with Denise. It’s just me, Sophie” and then she put the burger down anyway. Turns out my burger was called Denise. Note for next time: the burgers have ‘people’ names.

Denise turned out to be delicious. Apart from the patty, I didn’t like it. But I’m not an actual food critique, so maybe it was good and I just didn’t realise, everyone else around me seemed to be right into theirs.

Although I feel bad that the staff who possibly had their ankles chained underneath the counter and obviously aren’t being paid enough for decent haircuts, I still rate Huxta. I love a good brioche and the crinkle cuts chips took me back to school.
