“If I die before I wake”

At home sick with Ebola. The doctor said it’s just a common cold. But I googled when I got home and realised quite quickly that he had misdiagnosed me.
As you may already know, Mumma Colly-Wonks has a Ceylonese-remedy (voodoo-concoction) for everything. She won’t tell me what is in this, which with her usually means that it’s not legal. It’s also a little concerning to me, that five minutes after I drank it, she popped her head back through my bedroom door and asked quite intensely if I “felt anything yet?”.

Thank you for your thoughts

I just want to say a quick thank you to those who were there for me during my recent struggle.

You really learn who your actual friends are at times like these. A lot of people were quick to avoid me or drop me entirely just after hearing what I was going through.

So it makes my appreciation for the friends who stuck around even greater. Especially the ones who spent time with me.

For those who aren’t aware, over the last week I’ve been battling quite an aggressive cold sore. Please don’t worry. It’s almost gone now and I’m feeling a lot better, just taking it a day at a time and doing the best I can under the circumstances.

welcome to the neighbourhood :)

When you’re helping a friend move house and the neighbour introduces himself “Hi, I’m Michael, from nextdoor, we have three dogs”.

Not sure if friendly piece of ‘getting to know you’ trivia.

Or subtle warning.

What time do you send your parents to bed?

To all my friends still living at home, I have a question for you.

What time do you usually put your parents to bed? I mean, most nights I’m just too exhausted to even argue, so let them stay up long after me still watching tv. But I’m finding that they’re getting up later and later in the mornings and can also be quite grumpy.

Any advice appreciated.
